Each of us takes in and remembers information in different ways.

Recognizing learning styles for yourself and your child will help you teach them new things in a way that makes learning easier.

There are many learning styles and many combinations but the three most common are:

  • Auditory: learns best by hearing
  • Visual: learns best by seeing
  • Kinesthetic: learns best by doing

Hold your nose with your left hand while making swimming motions with your right hand and bobbing up and down.

If you had to stop and think for a minute or read that again before being able to follow the directions properly, you’re not alone. It probably wasn’t presented in a way that worked well for your learning style.

This is what a child experiences when we introduce a new idea that we want them to learn. Maybe it’s easier when you see it.
